AUTOGRAPHICS was established as a “brand ” initially in 1984 and it’s related work has grown from a part time hobby into a full time career for artist and photographer, Ian Cunningham.

Many people within the international motorsports industry will already be familiar with Ian’s work.  As well as being used to illustrate private collections, it is extensively displayed in offices, showrooms and corporate buildings throughout the World.  Originally commissioned artwork is reproduced in the form of calendars, posters, greeting cards and as limited edition prints.  Selected works have also been used to provide illustrations for books, magazines and other publications.  Individual commissions are often presented as gifts, incentives or rewards – either privately or by Companies or Corporations.

AUTOGRAPHICS’ international “client-base” includes many noted and well-known public figures (and even Royalty).  All clients are assured of the same high standard of discretion and confidentiality, and work printed and subsequently viewed by the general public is only ever displayed with permission  and authorisation from the commissioning client.

Currently working from his studio in Stafford, Ian’s commissions take him around the world.  His work is highly prized by both collectors and manufacturers of high performance cars as well as individual owners, who all appreciate the fine detail and individuality.  Each original painting or illustration produced to commission, is completed using a variety of techniques and media into an individual, highly detailed, artwork.  Each original takes, on average, 6 – 8 weeks to complete and deliver from the commission date.  The artwork is usually based on reference photographs (either supplied or our own) and is available in a selection of finishes, sizes and prices to suit all budgets.

In addition to client commissioned work, AUTOGRAPHICS sponsors selected Racing Teams in a variety of championships, some in conjunction with the British Racing Drivers’ Club, S R O (British GT and Formula 3), and other major organisations and events (Silverstone Classic). At the end of each year, the nominated category winning driver or team is usually presented with a unique, original artwork depicting their winning car.  AUTOGRAPHICS also works with favoured marque Owners’ Clubs (Aston Martin and Ferrari) displaying work at their events – Aston Martin presenting artwork as Concours awards.

Examples of Ian’s work are often to be seen displayed at or exhibited by invitation at motor racing and Owners’ Club events throughout Europe during the Year.  A selection of both display artwork and limited-edition prints is usually available to purchase at each event.
